The title to Daughter's and my current favorite song. Pink just ROCKS! Doesn't she? She has an amazing voice and is soooo strong!
But what I am really getting at is the oat pancakes I made this morning. W.O.W.! They were REALLY good! I am stuffed!! How about that for a weight watchers recipe??? Healthy, tasty AND filling? I didn't think it could be done. I substituted sugar free syrup (also really good) for blueberry topping. YUMMY. I have a few extra pancakes to eat during the week. You've just gotta love being satisfied when you are supposed to be suffering.
After 5 days of serious WW, I must say, I feel a lot better already. First of all, I feel I'm in the right mindset. I'm focused and determined. Secondly, I've stuck to the diet and am seeing/feeling a difference already in energy levels, no bloating, sleeping better, regularity (know'm sayin'?) etc. It's all good. I have a few events coming up that I just don't want to feel like a whale at. I know I can't lose a ton by then, but man, if I could lose even 5 pounds by then, I will FEEL so much better. So, I just have keep my nose to the grindstone and go for it.
We are going to a family pumpkin carving party today! How fun is that? The family hosting are so much fun. I'm looking forward to that. Tomorrow the kids have a Halloween party at our Club. They always enjoy it. My house is still clean! Weeeeeeee!
We'll go see my mother today before the party. She's had some food, thank God, and that has made her happier. Can you imagine a 30 year old having 3 surgeries in 10 months and not being able to eat for 5 days? I can't. Now, imagine this is your 85 year old mother......and never a complaint. Unbelievable.
Looks like they may have lied (once again) about the rain today. I don't mind. It's grey enough to stay inside and play winter, but not the deluge that causes problems. Good enough. Enjoy the weekend. Time to go check out Patrick Walsh and see what havoc the Master Cleanse is wreaking on his life. Toodles.
