I'm feeling a tad guilty that this post is over 4 days in coming, since we arrived home from vacay on Sunday. But, that is, how we say, the life goes on.
Whew!! Been crazy busy since returning. Unpacking. MOUNTAINS of laundry, Mom, School, PTA and working on the yearbook for our Club since our Secretary resigned under not so great circumstances and left the Board with pretty much.....NOTHING. So I was recruited to re-create, improve and reinvent our yearbook. I must admit, it's been FUN. It is going to KICK ASS as well. I recruited a friend who is a graphic artist and we're putting something together that will rock the house.
But let's get back to the super fun stuff: Vacation. Oh Lord, it was WONDERFUL defined....11 days in perfect, and I mean perfect, weather. The kids just thrived. They swam, swam, swam. Dug in the sand. We boogie boarded like crazy. My son truly thinks he's Surfer Joe. Here are Son and Daughter on the edge of the sea wall right outside our condo. THIS WAS OUR VIEW!!!!

And here's our little Dude on his boogie board.

We slept late each day. Made it out to the pool by about 11:00 or so. In the afternoon we went down the steps to the beach and set up our little camp. Two umbrellas, 6 or 7 beach chairs, boogie boards, Kadima and, of course, the cooler. Happy hour began around 4:00 and we sat and sipped Mich Ultra's until we were hungry. Snacks on the pool deck followed and then either out to dinner or the designated dinner picker upper or BBQ'er went to work. We were almost always in bed by 10:00. We laughed our heads off. It was great to have my two sisters and their families there. Everyone got along beautifully. How often can you say that? It was truly one of the best times ever. Husband was so relaxed. So relaxed that he even cut back on his sandcastle building. He did, however, produce this beauty:
We ended the trip in Sea World. I LOVE THAT PLACE. The Shamu show and Whale & Dolphin shows are just amazing and beautiful. Soooooo creative. The kids really enjoyed too.
We stayed our final night in the very, very nice Orlando Airport Hyatt. They have a heated pool on the 6th floor, complete with shooting fountains. I looked at one Dad in the pool who said, "I feel like I'm in a Dr. Seuss movie"....There were kids just jumping all over the place, having a ball. Anyway, I'm still kind of in exhale mode. So it's going to take a day or two to catch up y'all. Hope all is well.
First time at your site although you have come to mine on several occasions
and left thoughtful comments. Glad you had a great holiday.
Am also involved in getting our Co-op Newsletter up and running so
understand your excitement getting your yearbook done.

Sounds like an absolutely fantastic time! I love harmonious family
vacations. But it is nice to have you back as I'd been wondering!
Argh! So jealous!
Sounds sweet. Were you on the Gulf side?
Glad you are back and that you had fun. Cool sandcastle and beach pics. I
love beer thirty. It's the best part of vacation.
