It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
Want to see the best and worst in folks? Run a fundraiser!! My bud and I have run this fundraiser 3 years in a row now (this was our swan song) and each year we come away shaking our heads how it's always the same 3 or 4 people who are gigantic pains in our asses. The self absorption runs rampant. And it's always the same 3-4 people who do NOTHING to help and donate NOTHING. And it's these hiney's who overshadow all the other folks who do amazing things. I guess we let that happen and I should focus more on the good. It's always the quiet ones who get out there and do the job and don't ask for praise. And again? It's the same 20 gals who help each year.
Anyway, I am crushed!! I didn't have a drink at all last night and I feel like I did after Friday Afternoon Free Keg in college....I just want to drink Diet Pepsi and watch HBO in the air conditioning for the rest of they day.
The good news is that we found someone to take over the event for next year! SUCKA!!!! And we made over $7,600.00!!!! Yay us! THAT makes it aaaaaaaallllll worth it. Oh! And by the way, I put in 80 raffle tickets and got HOSED. Figures. Have a good weekend.
