LI2Day Walk Song

I wrote a song.  Well, not really.  I wrote some new words to an old song.  Me and my bud are going to walk in the LI2Day Walk to fight breast cancer on Long Island.  So now I have the DAUNTING task of raising $1,000.00.  Thus, a song!  I'll be sending this to family and friends here in the hopes that in this ROTTEN economy, they will still find it in their hearts to write a check.  Here it is and please tell me what you think!  Be kind, though.  I'm quite sensitive!  Ha ha ha.  To the tune of the Monkey's theme song, "Here We Come".

Here we come

Walking down the street

Get admiring looks from

Everyone we meet

Hey, hey we're the Walkers!

People see us walking around!

And we're just trying to raise money

To save all the "girls" in town....

We just want to stop cancer

We want to make it go away!

So won't you make a donation?

And help us to save the day.

I thought it was time to change things up and a song is always a cheery and fun way to do it.  Especially anything sung to the Monkey's theme song.  I still have a thing for Peter.....ha ha. 

It was a beautiful day.  Husband and I cleaned out our laundry room/office and Husband cut down all the shrubs/flowers for Spring.  LOVE him.  Oh, for SO much than that, but a man working with me and for me?  Oh yeah.  Hope it was sunny near you.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
