Homecoming.

Hey!  I brought my mother home from the hospital yesterday.  Hurray!!  She's very happy to be home.  She sounds sooooo much better already after having spent a night in her own bed in her own home.  She's been in the hospital for over a month.  Talk about a drag!

So it is absolutely beautiful today.  Kind of scary-warm for a late November thursday.....but beyond that, I must concentrate on what matters most today.  My beautiful husband, daughter and son.  What we are together as a family.  I adore them.  They make me laugh.  I'm SO LUCKY.  Our friends.  We have some pretty damn fine friends.  Our extended families. 

Son came in our room this morning (as he does on EVERY SINGLE HOLIDAY - I swear he NEVER misses one) and sweetly wished Husband and me Happy Thanksgiving.  We had french toast casserole for breakfast and Husband is lighting a fire.  This and later tonight will be the best part of my day.  We'll go to the outlaws for dinner.  The kids will go crazy with their cousins.  I may have to drink a vat of wine. 

Hope you are all with someone you love and who loves you right back.  Tell them you love them.  This life is swift and anything can happen.  Don't put off until tomorrow.  Enjoy the day and God bless you all.  Happy Thanksgiving.
