It's 86 degrees here but it feels like 110....Not Nutsy's favorite weather. To say the least. I have a lot to get done and it's pissing me off that it's 110.
This past week I had swim team (9-10) and swimming lessons (10:30 - 11) everyday. Monday night I had sailing. Tuesday night was a swim meet (which means kids rest from 4:30 on, I have to get dinner ready by 5:00 so they can throw it down their throats and be in the car by 5:15 to get to the pool on time for warm ups and then the meet starts at 6 and goes until 8:30 and then there is ice cream to celebrate the victory - our team is kicking ass and then we get home by 10:00), Wednesday was a Board Meeting, last night was another swim meet and tonight is the candlelight sail. The kids build their own sailboats and race them across the pool. We have Balloon and Non Balloon classes (for the purists, like the Fagans). You have to have a candle on board and it must stay lit all the way across. Tomorrow we have a raft up over at Hemlock Heading and Sunday night is the kid's Talent Show. M'kay? Heading for a nervous breakdown. I just want to stay home for one night. Both kids are in two acts each, so we must fit in rehearsal time. Daughter is twirling and singing the Funky Hat song from Wizards of Waverly Place. Son is telling jokes and singing a duet with our 5 year old neighbor girl. They're singing Don't Go Breaking My Heart.....I hope he goes through with it, because it will be soooooooooo fuhreaking cute. Daughter and her posse got hats that resemble Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch. You know, they're rather "pimp-ay". They will be very cute as well. More to come. For now, I'm just too hot and overwhelmed. So, I'll write more when things wind down. Isn't summer supposed to when the living is easy?
Oh yeah, and here's a photo of the new beauty as she returns home from a 14 hour journey from Barnegat Light, NJ:

Welcome to the busy-ness of modern America. I feel your pain.
